Contemporay Living Room Interior Design Project
It is everyone’s favourite bit. The big reveal. In this project you will see what an
interior designer can create out of something that looked basic . And that’s where
the client asked an interior designer to came in.
First of all, let me show you what it was like before its fresh, new look.
Before : Tired and Unattractive
The Interior Design Project Brief
The client brief for this interior design project is to update, freshen and “get the look”but without the ultra high end designer price tag. The aim, of course, was to ensure the property could be more functional with the wider look!
Concept
“It’s a long, thin property, as with many London Victorian houses,” “These properties
can be tricky to deal with, as your eye is drawn to the end.” My solution? An offset design, meaning the space is set at an angle. “Your eye is drawn to other things and you don’t see the whole property at once” . “Walking through, you split it; it also gives the illusion the space is wider than it is.”
The living room now also makes a nod to a autumn theme, with a small touch of warm and gold streak colour, and several distinct zones, making it a relaxing place to spend time, as well as providing a pleasant and good-looking space for entertaining.
